Whimsical framed windows in Sweden

I came across this housing project by Anders Wilhelmson that is to be built overlooking Öresund (the sound between Sweden and Denmark) in Helsingborg, Sweden.

Two, six story houses containing 14 apartments will be built in the glossy white enamel buildings. The real eye-catcher is the exterior windows which will be outlined with ornate, gallery-style gold leaf frames.

What do you think? Interesting or ugly?
