I came across a post over at Unplggd that highlighted a great design for a power strip.

It's called the Power Bridge and it comes to us from designer Hyukjae Chang.

In it, the traditional power strip is turned upside down, allowing cords to run closer to the ground and offering a cleaner look compared to the traditional power strip. On the top of the bridge, small lights indicate which plugs are occupied and the mail power cord pivots either away from or under the bridge.

Here's what they said about it over at Yanko Design:

Managing power-cords is more of a hassle for folks with kids and those who like the wire-free look. Just how to manage those damn wires? With the elegant Power Bridge, of course! It eliminates the need to hide wires in order to make the room look neat or safe. This sturdy strip has the plug-slots beneath the bridge for better plug management. An indicative light on each plug outlet also displays the amount of power being used by that particular device, making you aware of the energy consumption. A refreshing approach for the wires-issue.

It's just a concept but I love seeing people take on the traditional approaches to managing technology in our homes. Fingers crossed that this comes out.
